We are still getting people messaging asking when this year's pride event will take place. We announced earlier in the year that we wouldn't be holding an event this year due to the cost of living crisis currently. We feel it's unfair to ask for donations, sponsorship etc from the community and businesses who are struggling to keep themselves afloat at present. However, we are starting to plan for 2024. With this in mind, we are reaching out to the council, grant providers and other avenues to raise the needed funds for 2024. A message from Great Yarmouth Minster Please come to our coffee morning, which happens the first Saturday of every month. It's an opportunity to meet other people from the Great Yarmouth community.We have yummy cake, a chance to chat, there's a children's play area, quiet spaces and a huge medieval building to explore. Everyone is welcome, and it's FREE! (You can make a donation if you want to).We can talk about what inclusion means to you, or anything else which is on your mind. We wish all our Trans Brothers, Sisters and Enbys a safe and happy Trans Visibility Day.Did you know:41% of trans men and trans women responding to a Stonewall survey said they had experienced a hate crime or incident because of their gender identity in the last 12 months. They also found that 25% of trans people had experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. The government's national LGBT survey found similar results, with 67% of trans respondents saying they had avoided being open about their gender identity for fear of a negative reaction from others.Until we are all free to live our lives without fear of hate, none of us are free. ...
