Great Yarmouth and Waveney Pride is thrilled to announce the details of its 2025 Pride celebration, featuring a vibrant Pride March, a spectacular Main Event, and an unforgettable After Party. Put the date in your diaries now: Saturday, 6th September 2025!“
Be Proud. Be You,” is the theme for this year’s event, encouraging everyone to embrace their authentic selves, whether it’s their sexual orientation, gender identity, or ethnic origin.
Pride March
The festivities will kick off with a joyful and colorful Pride March, a public demonstration celebrating LGBTQ+ identity and advocating for equality. Participants are invited to gather at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, on the pavement or grass area beside The Nelson Hotel, across from the Sealife Centre. The march will begin at 11:00 am, proceeding along Marine Parade to St. George’s Park.
Main Event
Following the march, the celebration will continue at the Main Event at The Drill House in Great Yarmouth. The Main Event opens at noon, with the first act starting at 12:30 pm. Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and community spirit. The Drill House, a stunning Grade II listed building reimagined by Out There Arts as a hub for culture and community, will host the event.The Main Stage will feature a dazzling lineup of entertainment, including Drag Queens, Singers, Aerial Artists, and familiar faces from X Factor. All acts including the fabulous Headliner will be announced nearer the time.
After Party
The celebration will continue into the night at the official GYWPride After Party at the Empire Nightclub on Great Yarmouth’s seafront. The Empire, a Grade II listed building with a rich history as a former cinema, boasts a grand façade and exquisite decorative plasterwork. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the first act taking the stage at 8:00 pm. Attendees can look forward to more incredible acts, another sensational headliner, and a live band until midnight.
